Independence Day Box Office Clash: Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein to Be Beaten by Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2

Akshay Kumar’s action film ‘Khel Khel Mein’, John Abraham’s actioner ‘Vedaa,’ and spooky-fun’s ‘Stree 2’ will release on the same day: August 15.

The much-awaited horror-comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao is now all set for a blockbuster opening this Friday, just in time for Independence Day 2024. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham’s ‘Vedaa’ will also be fighting for the limelight on August 15, but ‘Stree 2’ is quite evidently going to take the day 1 box office by storm.

In fact, ‘Stree 2’ has already minted a whopping ₹11.37 crore in advance sales across India, so Sacnilk.com reports. Interestingly, the film has sold as many as 381,878 tickets for the opening day alone.

What about the competition, though?

Comparatively, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ has sold 15,001 tickets with advance sales of ₹55.33 lakh. ‘Vedaa’ would be close at hand since it grosses and sells 23,335 tickets for ₹56.57 lakh, claims the report from Sacnilk.com.
